With the IM12 interface devices, the advantages of the IMX12 family from Turck can now also be used for the first time for applications with non-intrinsically safe signals. The IM12 are among the narrowest devices on the market and save space in the control cabinet with a width of just 6 mm per channel.
Their modern electronics design promises high investment security. The entire device family is certified for use in functionally safe circuits up to SIL2. The IM12 process digital and analog signals from field devices, for example in the pharmaceutical or chemical industry. However, factory automation also offers usage scenarios for IM12 devices such as temperature or speed detection.
The computer-programmable variants can be addressed via IO-Link and Pactware or other FDT frameworks. All IM12 variants have the option of DIN rail power supply via Powerbridge. Customers who use both IM12 and IMX12 (for the Ex area) can install, wire and commission all interface devices mechanically and electronically as well as on the software side. In addition to devices for digital or analog inputs or outputs, the manufacturer also offers frequency and temperature transmitters.
