The RES (Singleturn) and REM (Multiturn) encoder series rely on the current Profinet encoder profile version 19. Both encoder series support Profinet-Features such as Media Redundancy Protocol (MRP), Link Layer Discovery Protocol (LLDP) and Simple Network Management Protocol (SNMP).

With minimal clock cycles of up to 250 ms and the isochronous real-time mode (IRT), the encoders ensure precise and almost instantaneous communication even in very dynamic applications. The encoders are high-precision and thus enable high-precision positioning and speed control, as required in multi-axis positioning.

The Profinet encoders exist with hollow shaft and solid shaft in a variety of configurations. Various shaft diameters and flange connections as well as easy integration into Profinet networks allow for quick commissioning.

This corresponds to more than 500 million representable revolutions. With CAN open models, a maximum of 127 nodes can be configured in a network, but with the J1939 interface they allow up to 254 nodes.

New rotary encoder models support IIoT solutions with smart data and achieve transmission speeds of 230,4 Kbit. With the portfolio expansion, Turck is underlining its claim as a full-range IO Link provider with numerous devices and masters and offering consistent IIoT Solutions from Sensor to the Coud vice versa.

The latest encoders with IO Link support all encoder segments from the Efficiency, Industrial and Premium Line with COM3 to the latest and at 230,4 kBit / s fastest IO Link interface on the market. It can be used to significantly improve control loops. The rotary encoders have integrated temperature sensors and, if necessary, transmit pre-processed data for the position to the IO Link Master. With their smart data, the devices support IIoT solutions, for example predictive maintenance.

For simple and uniform data processing, the rotary encoders are controlled by the IO Link Smart sensor profile (SSP) supported. The SSP defines the data semantics of the IO Link information model across manufacturers in a detailed and uniform manner. Defective devices can be easily replaced using the data storage functionality of the IO Link rotary encoders. The IO Link master provides the new encoder with the necessary device parameters automatically and without additional parameterization.

Contactless encoder with fixed pulse rate

In addition, the following versions can be delivered at short notice (usually within 48 hours): 1, 5, 6, 8, 10, 12, 36, 64, 100, 200, 250, 256, 400, 500, 600, 800, 1200 and 2000 pulses per rotation. The previous variant for individually setting the pulse rate is still available.
