The new fork and angled light barriers of the OP series from IFM Electronicput into operation. In contrast to conventional one-way light barriers, there is no time-consuming adjustment of transmitter and receiver. Setting is now effortless using a potentiometer or via IO-Link. With IO-Link, application-specific sensor modes can be set and the switch-on and switch-off delay can be easily adjusted.
The new devices of the OP series are used especially for parts monitoring in feed technology as well as in assembly and handling technology. Conventional fork and angle sensors quickly reach their limits in the detection of very small parts or in very high-speed applications. Thanks to IO-Link, individual adaptation to a wide variety of applications is possible. With adjustable switching frequencies of up to 14.000 Hz, the new sensors allow very fast applications, now even with very small parts.
The device automatically identifies soiling through the permanent control of the functional reserve. This can be cleaned in good time and process reliability ensured. This saves time and protects against costly production losses. The use of IO-Link enables digital and bidirectional communication.
