The Heinrich Kipp Werk presents a new system for stainless steel screws with seal. The Hygienic use Screw and sealing system was developed for use in hygiene-sensitive areas. As part of the re-certification by the European Hygienic Engineering and Design Group (EHEDG) the cooperation partners Kipp and Freudenberg Sealing Technologies optimized the stainless steel sealing screws. The revised stainless steel components are certified according to EL Class I AUX.
02.10.2021: The inner diameter of the sealing washer has been slightly reduced for improved centering. This resulted in an adjustment of the screw shaft. Kipp also has the gradations of shaft lengths revised. In certain lengths, the stainless steel screws now have a standard thread up to the screw head. Adapting the cap nut to the screw head visually unifies the screw system.
The starting point for the sealing stainless steel screw is the hygienic Usit seal from Freudenberg. One special contour of the sealing bead and the polished collar of the stainless steel screw seal the screw point with a positive fit. Even after repeated tightening and loosening, the properties of the seal remain constant. Kipp has the right one for the sealing washer Novonox hygienic Hex head screw and cap nut developed.
Efficient from direct screwing to screw drive
Combined, these stainless steel products result in a screw and sealing system for the requirements hygiene-sensitive areas. The polished surfaces, radii and shape transitions with no dead space ensure easy cleaning. Stainless steel screw, stainless steel cap nut and Usit sealing washer have been optimally matched to each other. The products are also available individually. However, the EHEDG certificate only applies to the system unit.
Kipp is exhibiting at the Automatica 2022.
