The electronics company also sees the further course of the current fiscal year 2022 optimistic and predicts positive growth of over 20% compared to the previous year.
Despite the great challenges in procurement, Weidmüller was able to successfully serve the continuously increasing order backlog. Last but not least, this resulted in record sales in the fourth quarter. "Our sales expectations were not only met, they were even exceeded," says the CEO and Chief Technology Officer Volker Biblehausen. He is optimistic about the future: "We are confident that the good order situation will continue to give us momentum despite the tense situation on the energy markets." The growth of the global player thus reflects the continuing positive trend in the electrical engineering and automation industry.
Weidmüller currently has almost 6000 employees at over 30 locations and 60 sales companies. "We are planning an ongoing systematic increase in personnel in all areas as well as further strategic investments in new technologies and markets," explains Weidmüller, CFO Andre Sombecki.

The ground-breaking ceremony for the new, state-of-the-art production facility took place in July last year. After only eight months of construction, the building was completed at the end of April. With a total of 14.000 m² of floor space and a modern reception area, the 10 m high building represents a significant improvement over the previous production facilities.
The project managers adopted many concepts from Weidmüller's other production sites, which is why the transport of goods throughout the area can be made much more flexible, faster and easier.
