Cloud-native simulation in PTC Onshape

Designers and engineers can use Onshape Simulation Finite Element Analysis (FEA) easily and quickly. Structural analyzes provide a well-founded basis for design decisions throughout the product development process.
With that, Onshape the only tool for computer-aided design (CAD) and product data management (PDM) with simulation embedded directly in the core design and construction environment. With Onshape Simulation, structural analyzes can be prepared and calculated faster and with less effort and work steps.
"With Onshape Simulation, designers can very efficiently simulate complete assemblies and thus make important decisions in the design process about time, material and quality," explains Greg brown, Vice President of Onshape Product Management.
Onshape Simulation features and benefits

Free onshape for #wirvsvirus hackathon

Onshape CAD software for Corona projects

"As part of the Solution Enabler program, we would like to make Onshape available free of charge because we know, not least from the Covid-19 projects that have already been implemented with it, how important opportunities for engineers, designers, developers and idea generators are, especially in times of social distance", says Bernhard Eberl, Director Academic Relations and Public Affairs Europe at PTC. "In this way, everyone involved in the project can work together across locations and in real time and get their innovations ready for use much faster."
Learning resources for CAD users of all levels
Numerous learning resources are also available to users so that they can use all the possibilities of the CAD tool for their #WirVsVirus solutions.
