Kendrion Intorq India moves into a new 4700 m² building in Pune

The INTORQ GmbH & Co. KG, a company of the Dutch group Kendrion NV, has the New Build at his India location commissioned in Pune. That on Brakes and Couplings Companies specializing in industry are thus significantly expanding their capacities in Asia.

The construction time was one year. On March 11th and with that 5th anniversary the inauguration of Intorq India should be celebrated. However, this had to be postponed due to the corona pandemic exit restrictions. A new date has not yet been set.

According to Indian tradition, the building has been blessed before. For this purpose, the employees were invited and representatives of the German company management connected via video conference.

After the old building was in need of renovation and offered no opportunities for expansion, the company built this new building at a location just 2 km away. With an investment of several million euros, Intorq has now tripled its production capacity. The new company headquarters of Intorq India in Pune comprises around 4700 m² total area and busy 22 employees. Additional employees are expected to be hired in the course of 2020.

The focus of the production is on brakes and clutches of some standard series and our own coil production. However, other products for the project business in Pune can also be realized.

Merger of Intorq with Kendrion

The merger of the Intorq group with Kendrion also gave the team in Pune an additional motivation boost. "We are now more efficient, the merger opens up new opportunities," says Simona Jadronova, Vice Director at Intorq India. The team accompanied the new building with great commitment. "Everyone appreciates the family atmosphere in the company and was there with care," says Simona Jadronova. For example, the employees planted trees together on the new company premises.  

Intorq India also supplies customers in the neighboring countries of Pakistan, Sri Lanka, the United Arab Emirates, Oman, some African countries as well as its own locations in the USA and Germany.
