Brake manufacturer Intorq Aerzen is sold to Kendrion

In November have a contract for the sale of INTORQ Aerzen Kendrion signed. The effectiveness of the contract is subject to the approval of the antitrust authorities. The deal is expected to close in the first quarter of 2020. Intorq will now be able to further expand its global portfolio under the Kendrion umbrella. The Aerzen location will continue to play an important role in the future.

Intorq Aerzen specializes in spring-applied brakes
The Industrial Drive Systems (IDS) business unit of Kendrion specializes in permanent magnet brakes, especially for industrial automation and robotics. The Intorq brand has recognized expertise in spring-applied brakes and will be continued under the umbrella of the Kendrion Group.

The merger creates a leading company with a complete product range for all important applications.
