Scraper for hydraulic cylinder with integrated dirt shield

As an essential element on the hydraulic cylinder to prevent dirt entering the scraper protects the entire hydraulic system from dust, dirt, moisture and other environmental influences. The Parker Sealing Group introduces a newly developed scraper profile with the type designation AV with integrated dirt shield. The scraper offers effective protection against contamination and corrosion of the system and thus contributes to the high availability of the equipment.

Due to increasingly sensitive elements within the hydraulic circuit of the stripping function is becoming increasingly important, because contaminated fluid systems are often the cause of total failures with high follow-up costs. The scraper AV can be used in all hydraulic cylinders and is particularly suitable for mobile applications.

Housing bearing replacement saves significant TCO

The dirt shield formed on the scraper prevents the scraper from infiltrating into the groove due to moisture. Thus, the corrosion occurring very often in the groove can be avoided. For applications with vertically positioned piston rod, the dirt shield is particularly effective for protecting the seal groove. Water flowing down the piston rod is discharged and does not get into the scraper groove. Due to the tight fit in the housing and a pressure relief bore, the risk of squeezing the scraper out of the cylinder housing is reduced to a minimum. The scraper is available in a wide range of materials.
