Microdosing of adhesive for the production of fiber optic cables

Viscotec has in Preeflow Technical center customer-specific trials for microdosing carried out. The fully automatic production of fiber optic cables became possible using 2K dispenser checked. The customer requested the repeated application of 5 µl of a two-component material in a volumetric mixing ratio of 8,5: 1. The was used Epoxy adhesive EPO TEK353ND.
Test result more than good
The Two component high temperature epoxy was specially designed for semiconductors, hybrids, fiber optics and Medicine Applications developed. The test results of the microdosing at Preeflow showed that the 2K dispenser ECO-DUO330 more than fulfilled the required quality standards for the implementation of the dosing process. The volumetric dispenser convinced with its repeatability, service friendliness and especially with its process reliability. The fully automated production line is currently in the planning stage.
