Sensorsthat generate large amounts of data can use digital interfaces for Industry 4.0 record and provide the required information. However, systems are also required which convert data into information. IFM Electronic now presents the first module of the digitization platform Moneo to create open and scalable solutions.
The first module from the Moneo portfolio is Configure SA (Stand Alone). It offers users comprehensive parameterization software for IO-Link sensors. The module can be easily installed on a standard PC and is then ready for immediate use. The connection to the IO-Link network takes place via the Ethernet Interface of an IO-Link master or via an IoT (Internet of Things) interface of a corresponding network.
A manufacturer-independent IODD management integrated. In connection with the IODD database, sensors from different manufacturers can be integrated into an IO-Link network and parameterized. To do this, the software scans a connected IO-Link network and provides a hierarchical representation with all devices.
In addition to the IO-Link sensors, the Moneo Configure SA module also enables IO-Link Master modules parameterized by IFM. A function in the cockpit is used for setup and error analysis, with which up to two process data per sensor can be displayed.
The user immediately recognizes how the change in the parameterization will affect the data. All parameter data sets can be clearly managed in Configure SA. If sensors have to be replaced, the parameterization can be easily transferred back to the new sensors with just a few clicks.
Moneo is a still under development new software platform from IFM, on which various modules will later find space. Configure SA is the first module for Moneo, an IO-Link management tool in the stand-alone version. It allows the simultaneous and simple parameterization of multiple IO-Link sensors.
