Rauscher10115Basler (Distribution Rauscher) is expanding its camera portfolio for intelligent traffic systems twice: The "Dart" series is an inexpensive camera that is reduced to the essentials and is suitable for simple traffic applications. For more demanding systems, Basler integrates the powerful Sony "IMX174" and the "Python 5000" sensor from ON Semiconductor in selected Ace cameras.

Board-level camera series Dart meets the demand for an efficient camera for traffic applications such as access control or ANPR solutions. With USB3 Vision standard compliance, the camera takes full advantage of the benefits of secure data transfer and easy integration with convenient plug-and-play functionality, high bandwidth up to 350 MB / s, and data and power over a single cable. Equipped with CMOS sensors with resolutions from 1,2 to 5 MP, the camera delivers frame rates of up to 54 images / s. Three variants "S-Mount", "CS-Mount" or the Bareboard version allow the use of a variety of lenses, including the most affordable Evetar S-mount lens series and the new C-mount Basler Lenses. The small footprint of 27 mm², with a weight of only 5 g in the bareboard version and 29 mm² with 15 g with S and CS mount allows easy integration into any image processing system.

To meet the needs of more demanding traffic applications, two Ace GigE and two USB 3.0 models as well as an IP camera line are equipped with the powerful Sony IMX174 sensor. The CMOS technology with global shutter and a resolution of 2,3 megapixels, the image quality reaches top marks in terms of sensitivity, dynamic range and noise performance.

The Python 5000 sensor integrates another powerful sensor into an Ace camera. With a resolution of 5 Megapixel, this high-speed Global Shutter CMOS sensor is the first choice for eliminating the smearing effects typically associated with CCD sensors, especially in the field of ITS applications.
