26.11.2021 | Elmeko presents to PLC 2021 with the Out-Fit series Combination component (Picture above), which also acts as a pressure equalization element in the sealed housing with a high degree of protection IP68/69 and drains the condensation water.
The Out-Fit Series consists of a pressure compensation element in combination with condensate drainage. Water can be drained from the water tank via an integrated connection switch cabinet be taken out safely. An integrated non-return valve ensures reliable drainage.
A powerful one Plastic membrane off EPTFE enables safe pressure equalization. It keeps dust and dirt out safely. The separate channels for water and air ensure that moisture is well drained so that the air in the switch cabinet is as dry as possible. A universal connection allows the installation of common condensate hoses for connection to cooling and dehumidifying devices.
Control cabinet fan safely removes heat from the control cabinet
The out-fit drainage / pressure compensation elements complement the Refrigerators and dehumidifiers from Elmeko, which use Peltier technology to save energy and work reliably. There are several versions for mounting in the bottom of the housing or in the side panel. Due to the low opening pressure of the valve, the variants installed on the underside of the cupboard also drain almost all of the water that is standing on the floor.
With professional installation, the degree of protection of the control cabinet is fully retained up to IP68/69 thanks to the membrane used and the non-return valve. The combination series is available for all installation conditions such as floor mounting outside and inside as well as for side walls.
06.07.2020 | In order to reduce the condensate that forms in housings and control cabinets, Elmeko developed the new pressure compensation elements of the DEM series. Because temperature fluctuations in a control cabinet lead to pressure changes.
These, in turn, result in precipitation of moisture and condensation on the interior walls and on the built-in devices. If a negative pressure is created in the housing, which sucks in moist air from the outside through small openings, it becomes particularly critical. Because these Moisture condenses in the interior and causes malfunctions, short circuits and corrosion.
The new pressure compensation elements DEM avoid such pressure fluctuations. They can simply be screwed into the side wall of the control cabinet, for example. The pressure compensation elements have an EPTFE membrane that is UV and salt water resistant and resistant to oils and fats.
This means that neither moisture nor dirt can get into the housing or control cabinet. Only air molecules penetrate the membrane on both sides and ensure permanent pressure equalization in the control cabinet. Depending on the type, an air flow rate of 34 to 1.650 l/h (at a pressure difference of 70 mbar) is possible. The high degrees of protection IP68 and IP69 are nevertheless retained. The DEM types are available in sizes M12, M20 and M40 in polyamide and in M12 made of brass as well as the matching counter nuts.
Elmeko's comprehensive program for condensate management in control cabinets includes dehumidification devices, heaters, condensate drains for cooling devices as well as elements for pressure equalization and drainage.
February 07.02.2019, XNUMX | In Casings, which are exposed to large temperature fluctuations, harmful condensation can form. Or pressure builds up, which puts a strain on the housing seals used. This can damage components and contaminants can penetrate. The new pressure compensation elements DAE from Pflitsch prevent both effectively.
They ensure a constant Ventilation of the housing so that the leakage limit of the housing seal, which averages 70 mbar, is not exceeded. A high-quality membrane in the DAE allows moisture to escape from the housing and prevents the ingress of liquids and particles.
The DAE is available in stainless steel, brass and Plastic with polyamide for temperature ranges from -40° to +105 °C. Depending on the type, they achieve the high degrees of protection IP 66, IP 68 and IP 69 according to IEC 60529. They are therefore dust-tight and protected against water jets and steam cleaners. In addition, the pressure equalization elements remain tight even when permanently submerged. They are also resistant to common chemicals and solvents.
The pressure compensation elements in M12 sizes are 6 and 10 mm long connection thread. They are available with two air flow rates SL for 16 l/h and HL for 150 l/h. The robust pressure compensation elements are temperature and UV resistant (chemically inert and hydrolytically stable). An O-ring ensures reliable tightness when screwed in. Variants with UL approval are also available in polyamide and stainless steel.
There is also a pressure compensation insert that can be used in UNI Dicht standard and multiple sealing inserts with a sealing range of 12 mm. It is approved for operating temperatures from -30° to +100 °C.
29.01.2019/XNUMX/XNUMX | With the new condensate drain nozzles from Elmeko condensate can be optimally drained away without dust and moisture from entering the control cabinet from the outside.
