There are applications in which individual Sensors into a 48V Power Type must be integrated. Such applications can be found, for example, when connecting switches or signal lights in conveyor technology. Bihl + Wiedemann has a new 48V / 24V for this DC converter developed. Thanks to it, there is no need to lay an additional AUX Cables with 24V through the entire system.

The IP67 modules are located in a 35 mm small housing of the active distributors and passive distributors. The voltage converter has an LED status display. The output current is 1 A. The voltage converters are suitable for installation in the Cable channel. They can be clamped to the gray profile cable exactly where they are needed using the penetration technique and connected to the respective sensor.

Voltage converter in three versions

Bihl + Wiedemann offers the 48 V / 24 V converters in the versions BWU4248, BWU4249 and BWU4250. The BWU4248 module converts 48 V auxiliary power via the gray profile cables into 24 V auxiliary power. The auxiliary power is made available via a black profile cable. The module has two connections for AUX profile cables for this purpose.

The BWU4249 module, on the other hand, has one connection each for an ASi profile cable, 48 V AUX profile cable and a 5-pin angled M12 cable socket with a Cable length of 1 m. The module thus converts the auxiliary power from 48 V to 24 V and then transfers it together with the ASi data via M12 to the connected device.

Only requires one device 24 V auxiliary power via M12, the BWU4250 voltage converter is recommended. Compared to the BWU4249, this voltage converter has no connection for the ASi profile cable. It converts the auxiliary energy from 48 V to 24 V and forwards it via the M12 cable to the module connected to it.
