thyssen0216Thyssen Krupp is presenting a world first: the largest KB 63-130 rotary crusher weighs 490 t and is significantly lighter than its predecessor - despite the 14% increase in cone diameter of 130 inches (around 3,3 m). With a throughput of up to 14.000 t / h, the rotary crusher achieves an increase in performance of more than 30% compared to its predecessor.

The new development weighs significantly less, because the Brecktechnik specialists have adopted the usual design principle. The rule of thumb used to be: As the diameter increases, so does the height of the structure. However, because the user generally only needs a larger diameter to increase performance, the KB 63-130 is now the same size as the other 63 Inch series crushers, despite the larger taper diameter.

The drive power is 1500 kW. The throughput increase in connection with the significant weight reduction compared to the predecessor model could be achieved only by the combination of proven FEM calculations in combination with most modern DEM simulations.

The designers have designed the body parts in fish belly design ". This specially developed design reduces the stresses in the crusher housing and, despite a weight-optimized design, contributes to higher load capacity. Technical features of the new crusher include the rotatable countershaft for adjusting the backlash and the eccentric bearing with top-mounted bevel gear. In addition to a better balance of the machine allows the new storage a much more compact design and a maintenance-friendly assembly and disassembly.
