According to the ZVEI, almost every fifth German already uses networked functions within their own four walls, including those for controlling their heating system. The new generation of Individual room control NEA Smart 2.0 for Surface heating and Cooling from Rehau is good for it. The entire control technology can now also communicate with other KNX-capable building technology components and there will be a further development from July 2022.

Control thermally activated component systems

Smart Home Solutions are trendy and keep in more and more Buildings Indent. Almost 40 percent of Germans control their heating systems using networked functions. With the new generation of its NEA Smart individual room control, Rehau offers the right overall solution. Numerous intelligent functions have been added. The system can be conveniently operated via the app from home or on the go and has a beautiful design.

08.04.2022 | For July 2022, Rehau announces a further development of the individual room control NEA Smart with new functions: Thermally activated component systems such as industrial surface heating can then also be controlled for heating. By using several room controller the temperature can also be optimized in large rooms. This gives more comfort in spacious living areas, open-plan offices, halls and exhibition rooms.

Rehau joins the KNX Association

Modern individual room control21.04.2021/XNUMX/XNUMX | Rehau is suitable for the introduction of the improved individual room control for e.g. B. Underfloor heating joined the KNX Association. This puts the provider in the list of the world's leading house and building technicians. The worldwide KNX standard offers a wide variety of design options, from the integration of heating such as underfloor heating, radiator heating, etc., lights, electric blinds against solar radiation, alarm and door intercom systems for buildings to household appliances and entertainment electronics.

The association's aim is to develop and promote a international communication standards for the automation of houses and buildings based on stable and affordable system technology. With NEA Smart 2.0, Rehau has another new product for heating rooms in its portfolio, which can be easily integrated into the KNX world.

Individual room control in an elegant design

16.03.2020 | NEA Smart 2.0 offers an elegant and high-quality design that is available in this form exclusively from the manufacturer. Instead of a conventional LC display, the new room controllers have an attractive LED matrix display that is placed behind the surface of the room controller and shines through the housing. In the bus version, the room controllers are also equipped with a discreetly illuminated light frame. They are available in white or black.

Intelligent heating technology + solutions for networked buildings

The algorithms implemented in the room control and the base units as well as the evaluation of the temperature curves and the control behavior in the Cloud allow a range of smart functions. NEA Smart 2.0 ensures the individual, comfortable temperature between the rooms without the building users having to worry about it.

The system learns from each Behavior when heating and adapts automatically. Using geofencing technology, the room control recognizes whether the residents are at home, are on their way there or are absent and regulates the heating temperature accordingly. However, manual intervention by the user is also possible at any time: Either on the device itself or worldwide via the app. In addition, the room temperature can also be conveniently set using voice control via Amazon Alexa.

Included in comfort is that you don't have to worry about the next one Heating bill needs to do. The individual room control enables energy savings of up to 20%, because the very precise and intelligent control of the room temperature effectively prevents over-supply and thus unnecessary energy consumption. For example, the "window open" detection detects a sudden drop in the room temperature when a window is opened and switches off the heating temporarily to save energy.

The heating under control via the app

Rehau individual room control heatingWith the intuitively operated NEA Smart 2.0 app the building user has his heating under control at all times from anywhere in the world. He can make settings on the surface heating and be notified of the current system status via energy monitoring. Optionally, the responsible heating contractor can also be given the option of remote maintenance for the surface heating. If necessary, this enables rule settings to be adjusted - quickly and effectively, without time-consuming on-site appointments.

There is the individual room control as Radio and bus solution. As a central control unit, the base combines both technologies in one device without the need for additional components. This means that radio and bus components can be operated as a mixed installation. Thanks to the modular structure, the NEA Smart 2.0 system is suitable for use in one and two-family houses as well as in larger properties with up to 60 rooms.

In addition to the pure room temperature control, the control of Flow temperatures and the integration of dehumidifying units is possible. The individual room control can also be easily retrofitted. The system can be commissioned conveniently using a smartphone, tablet or PC.
