ge0919GE Additive inaugurated its new manufacturing campus in Lichtenfels in Upper Franconia. The 40.000 m² plant, named GE Additive Lichtenfels, is the new home of GE Additive Concept Laser Teams. GE Additive continually invests in its production facilities in Europe and North America.

The company is thus meeting the growing demand for its technology as more and more customers switch to additive mass production. In addition to GE Additive Lichtenfels, the company also recently commissioned the Arcam EBM Center of Excellence in Gothenburg, Sweden.

The GE Additive Lichtenfels Campus offers space for up to 700 workers. The relocation of production from the current Concept Laser plant to the new site is already in progress and is expected to be completed by the end of the year. The office complex is still under construction and will be occupied by the other teams after completion in 2020.
