Pilz is expanding its portfolio for the safety relays PNOZ with a view to their functionality: The safety relays PNOZ Compact monitor the basic emergency stop or protective door functions and offer maximum safety up to Performance Level (PL) e or SIL 3. The function-optimized devices can be integrated into use in all areas of mechanical engineering.
The compact class is particularly advantageous for projects with the highest security requirements and a fixed range of functions. PNOZ Compact is equipped with permanently integrated push-in spring-cage terminals, which enable quick and easy installation without tools. With its compact width of 22,5 mm, it also saves space in the control cabinet.
As the first safety switching device in the family, the PNOZ c1 has a block diagram shown on the side of the device with a connection example, which guarantees quick installation and visually supports when servicing. This helps to reduce machine downtimes. Further information can be called up via a QR code on the device for direct access to online content with the latest technical information on the product.
The device enables a two-channel circuit with cross-circuit detection, which allows either a manual or an automatic start. It has a 24 V DC supply voltage. Fast diagnosis is guaranteed by displaying the operating voltage and switching status via LEDs. The PNOZcompact can be used in all areas of mechanical engineering. Especially in series machine construction, its use brings advantages through its concentrated functionality with basic benefits on either emergency stop or protective door monitoring: Projects with high quantities and a high degree of standardization can be implemented in a very customer-oriented manner.
