Henkel presents his new Dosing machine DM 502 with the newly developed Mixing head MK 825 PRO. The new features enable high process stability to be achieved in the fully automatic dosing and processing of sealing foams, adhesives and potting compounds. As a result, users receive a high-quality Bonding, Sealing or sealing of components.

Via the technology platform Sonderhoff System Solutions (S3) Henkel offers customer-specific sealing, adhesive and potting solutions in the form of material, machine and Automation from a single source. The new mixing head has a maintenance-friendly, conical V-design and has been further developed on the basis of the previous MK 20, which has been tried and tested for 600 years. Formed-in-place (foam gasket) technology ensures maximum process stability for fully automatic dispensing.

Dosing machine generates a broad database

Those built into the DM 502 dosing machine and the MK 825 PRO mixing head Sensors generate extensive data for seamless monitoring and compliance with critical process parameters, including, for example, temperature, degree of air loading, sensor-monitored axial position of the stirrer shaft, automatic steering the DVS stroke adjustment and sensor-monitored needle positioning of the dosing valve.

This gives the machine operator a comprehensive database available via the FIP (FG) order process. The machine's database enables fast and precise data analysis for optimized process evaluation and process control. It also enables predictive monitoring of the material application processes and preventive maintenance of wear parts.

Innovative mixing head for the best dosages

Automatic dispensing of the handleThe new mixing head achieves even better results in applications than its predecessor. For the optimal Order process and the higher machine availability, important machine parameters can be measured using integrated sensors in the dosing machine and mixing head. Possible are:

  • automatic positioning and speed control of the stirrer in the mixing chamber,
  • automatic stroke adjustment of the stirrer with stepper motor and position monitoring,
  • automatic air loading for an optimal cell structure of the foam seal,
  • automatic, sensor-monitored position of the dosing needle made of high-performance plastic in the shot and recirculation valve.

In addition, Henkel has a much improved one Temperature control system introduced.

Dosing machines with detailed process monitoring

The data collected by the sensors at many points on the dispensing machine can be of great benefit to the user's ongoing production. For example, sensors measure B. the interactions between the stroke setting of the stirrer in the nozzle closure system DVS-3 and the defined output rate. These factors affect the Foam structure crucial for the seal, especially if it is to be very fine-celled.

The stroke adjustment of the Nozzle closure system (DVS-3) is automatically adjusted on the MK 825 PRO via the control. There is also a sensor-monitored axial position of the stirrer shaft in the dosing systems. The new DM 502 dosing machines are equipped with improved valve technology. This offers process monitoring and needles from high-performanceplastic. In this way, the metering valve can be precisely closed even with very thin material.

The speed range of the specially made for the dosing machine DM 502 Dosing pumps is twice as high as its predecessor. This means that the machine doses in a larger discharge area with a dosage of 0,05 to 120 g / s. Thanks to the newly designed pump flange, the precision gear pumps can be changed very easily. The arrangement of the modules in the machine cabinet and the new design make maintenance much easier.

Greater ease of use through improved visualization

The multifunctional one is used to operate the DM 502 dispensing machine Mobile panel MP 2 with 10,1 "touchscreen, optionally with the Control 21,5 multi-touch control panel enlarged to 3". The menu layout is also new. Its central navigation and the uniform layout of the user interface allow intuitive menu navigation. Generally understandable symbols make menu operation language-independent. In addition, the user interface can be adapted adaptively to the tasks and preferences of the machine operator.

An interactive remote maintenance together with the customer is given. The service technicians from Henkel connect online to the operator's control panel. To analyze errors, they use the alarm logs of the dosing machine and various visualizations of the process data.
