Suspended loads pose a significant risk potential in machines and systems, especially in machine tools, handling systems, assembly equipment, hoists, cranes and stage winches - especially when people are below them. Crashes can be avoided with safety brakes. In the user seminar of Mayr Antriebstechnik the participants learn how to avoid mistakes in the interpretation.
In the above-mentioned applications, it is important to permanently exclude unintentional lowering of the load and impermissibly long stopping distances already in the design phase. Decisive here are the correct selection of the safety brakes and their correct integration into the overall system. "In many safety-critical applications, safety brakes are often the only protection against crashes or unwanted sinking of suspended loads," explains Dr. med. Benedikt Biechele, training coordinator at Mayr in Mauerstetten.
"In our user seminar, the participants learn how to avoid design errors. They are also qualified to select and dimension brakes for safety-critical applications, taking into account all physical conditions and influencing factors, so that dangerous situations such as load collapses are ruled out. "
In addition, we will identify suitable measures to maintain the performance of the brakes and the long-term safety of the plant. A practical part with live demos on the company's own test stands completes the seminar.
This popular user seminar is aimed at specialists and executives, designers, developers and safety representatives from the mechanical engineering sector and will be on 5. June and 4. December 2019 held.
