Dr. Sebastian Schatt joins the management team

With over 15 years of experience in advisory and management positions in the energy and industrial sectors, Dr. Schatt brings extensive expertise.
Before joining Wago, Dr. Schatt worked for the Boston Consulting Group, BCG, where he advised industrial and energy clients on corporate, portfolio and digitalization strategies. In 2015, he moved to Honeywell and promoted the international development of the Honeywell Safety and Productivity Solutions and Honeywell Industrial Safety divisions. In his last position as Vice President & General Manager EMEA at Honeywell Smart Energy & Thermal Solutions, he led the realignment of the business.
Dr. Schatt will bring his experience and strategic vision to Wago to advance the field of electrical connection technology to advance and develop innovative solutions.

“Here we have the ideal location for deliveries within Europe. Local know-how is becoming increasingly important for us, especially in times of digitalization, and was an important criterion for our decision to continue investing in Thuringia."
With 11.000 m², significantly increased capacity
The company is once again significantly expanding its capacities with the new logistics center. A modern high-bay warehouse with a highly automated picking and storage area as well as office space is being built on an area of 11.000 m². A bridge will connect the new logistics center with the existing logistics. "Construction is planned to start in autumn 2022, with commissioning to take place around two years later," explains Diana Wilhelm, Vice President Corporate Logistics and responsible for the new building.
"WAGO is growing strongly, so it is important for us to expand our capacities, but above all to ensure sustainable logistics with a high level of delivery service.
