At the Motion Plastics specialist, interested parties can now get an idea of ​​the processes and procedures in virtual assembly and injection molding and thus see the path from plastic granules to the finished product.

Equipped with VR glasses and app

VR gogglesThe technical advisors from Igus are now equipped with VR glasses and the corresponding app and can thus give an animation of the in-house production. They give their customers the virtual opportunity to explore Igus from over 30 different angles on their own. You can convince yourself of the largest test laboratory in the industry or watch the assembly of complex energy chains. Embedded images and videos provide additional information such as test parameters or low-cost automation applications and thus great flexibility.

The beta version of the Igus VR app celebrated its premiere at the real Hannover Messe 2019. Visitors to the stand were able to travel to the factory 250 km away. "With 'igus VR' we give our customers deep insights into the factory areas of assembly, test laboratory and injection molding. You can see up close where the 120 new products that we presented were created, ”says Managing Director Frank Blase. The application has already impressed customers. "Experiencing the test laboratory up close makes a lasting contribution to building trust," reports Volker Beissel, industry manager for machine tools.
