KEB0119At the turn of the year, the East Westphalian company KEB Automation acquired a 30% stake in the Italian engine manufacturer Brusatori Motori Elettrici near Milan. "With this investment, we are expanding our position as a holistic provider of automation solutions right up to machine shafts," says Curt Bauer, Managing Director of KEB.

"As a specialist for servo and torque motors in the medium and high power range, Brusatori is the ideal partner for sustainably supplementing our product portfolio in terms of breadth and quality," says Bauer.

Founded by 1953, the family-owned company is a successful manufacturer of asynchronous, DC and permanent synchronous motor technology. 2017 has developed the first torque motor sizes that complete the range with direct drives in water- or air-cooled versions for rated torques up to 1300 Nm. Antonio Brusatori comments: "The partnership with KEB Automation creates system solutions for variable-speed applications that take our performance into new markets and applications."

Asynchronous and synchronous motors up to 45 kW have been mapped by KEB since the middle of the 90 years in a universal construction kit for gearmotors. The complete development and production takes place in the KEB geared motors factory in Schneeberg / Saxony.
