biber0218Bi-Ber presents a newly developed solution with a powerful technical basis for optical mold control. The complete system of hardware and software ensures in chocolate production that there are no leftovers or mold fragments in the mold before refilling.

Unlike previous generations, the manufacturer uses two GigE cameras with megapixel resolution and a touch panel PC instead of a smart camera. This allows the system to monitor even wider conveyors, allowing a smaller working distance and thus a more compact overall design.

For machine builders, this simplifies integration into the plant. Upon request, the hardware can also be adapted to the individual requirements and structural conditions in the customer application. There are different housing variants and different monitoring widths up to 1050 mm can be set up.

The systems detect NIO forms solely through color image processing based on color or brightness deviations from the clean shape. They detect residual contamination up to a size of 1 mm². A mechanical test using form-specific punches is not necessary. Operators can store any number of recipes for different shape types and easily switch between them.
