For the detection of all types of beverage packaging Baumeralso offers its "Smart Reflect" technology in the form of the "Next Gen" sensors O300 and O500. This combination ensures measurable added value through the reduction of operating costs and through maximum process reliability. Smart Reflect is the first light barrier that works without a reflector.
The closed light beam is built up, for example, using any machine part. If this light barrier is physically interrupted by an object, it switches optical sensor. The unnecessary reflector eliminates the otherwise necessary effort for installation, commissioning and alignment of the reflector. The sensor is thus ideally suited for use in filling and fillingPackaging area.
The Smart Reflect photoelectric sensor in the form of the new O300 or O500 sensors presents itself in a practical and cost-saving manner. This includes "q Target". Here, the light beam of the sensor is always aligned by design. This allows easier and faster installation. Simplified handling also with the teach procedure: While a conventional mechanical pressure switch is constructed with moving parts and this can lead to permanent wear and tear and leakage problems, this is excluded with the "q Teach" of the new Baumer series. Touching the teach surface with any ferromagnetic tool such as a screwdriver is enough to program the sensor.
Especially for use in the beverage and food industry, the particularly sensitive variant of the Smart Reflect continues to be available. It detects the slightest changes in intensity and also detects highly transparent foils, trays and bottles.
