Energy efficient electronically controlled motor for the IEC market
Details
Hits: 3996
WEG has presented electronically commutated motors (WECM) for applications in the field of heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) in the IEC market. The energy-efficient permanent magnet motors in aluminum housings of size IEC 80 cover a power range from 0,12 to 1,1 kW and optionally rated speeds of 1500, 1800 and 3000 rpm-1 .
Thanks to the integrated electronic speed control, the drive packages from the motor and inverter achieve market-leading efficiencies. In addition, the low-noise, compact WECM motors meet all relevant IEC and HVAC standards. Both make it a cost-effective solution for manufacturers of fans and fans.
The European IEC guidelines 1253 / 2014, 327 / 2011 and 640 / 2011 define steps to increase the energy efficiency of the overall system consisting of motor and fan. The WECM line, consisting of an electric motor with integrated electronic speed control, achieves energy efficiency class IE5 according to IEC 60034-30-1 / 2 and, as a total solution with the impeller, an efficiency that meets the current and future requirements of the EU directives for HVAC Applications, eg. B. Directive 2020.
The WECM engine provides constant torque over the entire rev range. The speed can be adjusted both directly on the engine and via remote control. On the device itself, the speed control is steplessly controlled by means of cycle buttons from 200 to 1500 / 1800 min-1 or from 500 to 3000 min-1.
