REE has on the IAA presented a flat and modular platform, which the design and way of electric vehicles fundamentally changed. Together with the strategic partner Musashi Seimitsu the company is doing pioneering work for the future of Electromobility and is driving a wider application of vehicle electrification.  

By incorporating all of the components previously placed under the hood of the vehicle into the wheel, REE offers optimum design freedom, multiple body configurations on a single platform, reduced vehicle size and weight, and increased energy and operational efficiency.

Flat design, low center of gravity

The unique approach of REE strategically places the engine, steering, suspension, powertrain, sensors, brakes, thermal systems, and electronics into the wheel, creating a truly flat platform. This design offers a low center of gravity to maximize efficiency and support the agility and stability of the vehicle. The innovation drastically reduces the space and weight of a vehicle and improves both energy efficiency and performance.

A platform: from premium vehicles to trucks

The REE platform provides a tailor-made solution for car manufacturers, mobility providers and suppliers. Based on a novel four-engine system that includes active leveling, steer-by-wire and a smart four-speed transmission, REE technology provides the foundation for any type of vehicle, from a high-performance car capable of driving 0 to 100 km / to achieve less than 3 s, to an off-road vehicle with advanced active chassis technology. The platform can also be used as a base for a robotic taxi or even for an 10-t overland truck.

Kettcar for adults creates a range of up to 200 km

Adapting REE's Universal Framework will replace multiple platforms for OEMs, resulting in significant savings. The design and validation of each platform traditionally cost manufacturers billions of dollars. By enabling them to use one platform for all their vehicles, costs are cut and performance, safety, comfort and energy efficiency are dramatically improved.
