The main goal the Industrial Digital Twin Association e. V. is the promotion and further development of digital twin technology in the industrial sector. The IDTA brings together a wide range of member companies to jointly shape the technological, regulatory and economic framework required for the successful implementation of digital twins.
This includes the development of Standards, improving interoperability between different systems and platforms and supporting research and development projects that advance the integration and use of digital twins in industry.
Dassault Systèmes has now become a member of the Industrial Digital Twin Association (IDTA), one of VDMA, ZVEI, Bitkom and the Industry 4.0 platform initiated group. This association has 110 companies among its members who are working together on the future technology of the digital twin.
As part of this collaboration, Dassault Systèmes will contribute its expertise in Virtual Twin technologies to strengthen innovation and support new development and research initiatives. The company also plans to establish cross-industry Standards to optimize the exchange of information within the industry. By becoming a member of the IDTA, Dassault Systèmes strengthens its commitment to the further development of the digital industrial landscape. In the future they will 3DExperience platform and proprietary technologies are used in the Asset Administration Shell (AAS) developed by IDTA. This administration shell, which standardizes the properties and behavior of virtual objects and essentially gives them a "digital product passport", aims to increase the efficiency and flexibility of production processes, improve virtual value chains and develop innovative business models.
Together with other members of the alliance, Dassault Systèmes will address industry challenges in an increasingly connected and decentralized economy. A main goal is to have a seamless data management along the entire product life cycle through the use of virtual twins and at the same time improve interoperability and promote the standardization of interfaces.

By collaborating with other members of the alliance, the company provides its solutions directly align with the market and develop further.
