Dr. At the Blechexpo, Tretter presented its comprehensive range of products with a focus on ball transfer units. These proven construction elements for conveyor systems, feeders or assembly stations consist of a housing with a hardened ball socket on which many small supporting balls roll, which in turn carry the large ball. With these elements, even heavy loads can be moved effortlessly.

They are usually made of steel, in corrosive environments, the housing is coated. Depending on the requirements, there are ball rollers with plastic ball or plastic housings. Also available are sprung ball rollers. These machine elements are designed for loads up to more than 20 kN. The wide range of ball rollers covers almost all applications.

The economical roller guides, such as those installed in folding or swivel bending machines, were also exhibited. The anodized aluminum carriages are equipped with four rollers. In order to be able to adjust the game, two of the rollers are mounted eccentrically. The rails are also made of anodized aluminum, and pressed-in steel shafts serve as guide elements. A magnetic length measuring system is optionally available for all sizes with a closed carriage.

With size 25, this is also the case with open carriages, while the other sizes are in preparation. With the length measuring system, stops can be adjusted easily and quickly during positioning tasks either manually or by motorization. The system can also be used in dirty environments. The repeatability is between ± 1 and 100 μm depending on the resolution. A new improved statement and evaluation unit facilitates the handling of the user.
