ACE shock absorbers are adding viscoelastic shock absorbers to the portfolio for the first time and expanding the range of safety products. These offer long-lasting solutions for a wide variety of emergency stop applications in heavy industry, for example in crane construction and steelworks, in rail traffic, at locks or wind turbines.

With 0,1 KJ / Hub up to 1.000 KJ / Hub, the visco-elastic shock absorbers have an extremely wide range of energy absorption and have clear advantages in the upper area compared to other solutions for emergency stop. Despite these enormous energies, they manage with comparatively small strokes from 12 to 1300 mm.

Standard-compliant ESD control panels made of special plastics

The innovations work on the principle of hydrostatic compression of elastomers. As a result, they combine the functions of a shock absorber with those of a return spring. The compact dampers offer very reliable damping properties over many years, as well as high damping coefficients and resistance to temperature fluctuations.

The machine elements are available in steel and stainless steel, so they are also suitable for use under severe environmental conditions or salt water or if they have to meet special requirements for the body. After the relatively simple integration - even in existing constructions - they provide peace and perfect protection.
