ggb0913GGB Bearing Technology offers two new metallic sliding materials: The sliding material GGB-CSM is made of solid solid material and the bimetallic GGB-CBM is made of a metallic bearing material with a sintered sliding layer. Both materials are self-lubricating and maintenance-free. In addition, they are designed for high load capacity, a wide temperature range and outstanding corrosion resistance.

The GGB-CSM and GGB-CBM materials are produced using a powder metallurgy process to obtain a metallic metal matrix with a uniformly distributed solid lubricant (graphite, MoS2), which forms a solid lubricant film during relative movement.  Possible applications include general mechanical engineering, machines in the steel and metallurgical industry, steel and hydraulic steel construction, water, steam and gas turbines, valves, pumps, compressorsen, equipment for the food and beverage industry, packaging machines, handling systems, tire molds as well as agricultural and construction machinery.

The GGB-CSM materials are based on a series of alloys of bronze, iron and nickel. The GGB-CBM materials are based on a range of bronze alloys, including lead-free products, with a choice of mild steel, stainless steel and seawater-resistant stainless steel structural materials.
