The system consists of an annular precision scale (as a measuring tape ring), which is mounted on the outer diameter of the axial disc. Depending on the required accuracy, one or two scanning heads are positioned on the bearing outer ring and aligned with the precision scale. They detect the rotation angle of the scale grid and thus generate an output signal for the CNC control of the machine tool. The output signals correspond to the marketable standards.
