kamat0417The "Quintuplex" submersible piston pump from Kamat generates large volume flows of up to almost 4000 l / min and high pressures of up to 3500 bar. The requirement for the development of the K 120000-5G came mainly from mining and steelworks. Today z. B. in the descaling of rolled steel products sometimes ten to fifteen identical pumps are used.
The new model is 50% more powerful than the previously most powerful pump with 800 kW motor output. A decisive structural difference between the new 1200 kW pump and the manufacturer's previously known plunger pumps is the drive concept. Instead of the integrated gear unit with double helical gearing from our own production, an industrial gear unit with a separate housing is used. This lowers production costs and allows the reduction to be easily adapted to individual requirements - even afterwards. Other differences to the 800 kW pump are the number of crankshaft bearings (six instead of four) and the pressurized oil lubrication of the large cross-heads.

The K 120000-5G is manufactured with two different head types. In the ultra-high pressure version, for example, it provides a maximum of 158 l / min at a pressure of 3500 bar or 407 l / min at 1530 bar. If the user's focus is on maximum delivery, the pump (with other head type) reaches a maximum of 3939 l / min for 115 (with 900 kW) or 155 bar (with 1200 kW). The plunger pump is compact and works energy efficient.
