asm1019ASM presents a new sensor solution for hydraulic cylinders before, the installation and maintenance are considerably simplified: “Posichron Easymount” is an absolute, non-contact and wear-free position measuring system for measuring lengths up to 5750 mm.

The heart of the sensor solution is a strong, maintenance-free magnet that is attached to the inside of the cylinder. The sensor from the “Posichron” product line is mounted on the outside of the hydraulic cylinder and not inside the cylinder, as is the case with conventional solutions. No deep hole drilling is therefore required for the sensor installation.

In the event of maintenance or repairs, the sensor is easily accessible from the outside. The new sensor solution makes it possible to equip hydraulic cylinders with displacement sensors much more cost-effectively. For the first time, small piston diameters with little installation space that do not offer space for internal assembly can be equipped with sensors. Installation in synchronous cylinders is also possible.

Redundant sensor configurations are possible up to fourfold. The sensor is available in various designs, including rod, profile and ultra-flat profile versions. It can thus be adapted to different installation conditions. The degree of protection is up to IP68 / IP69. The sensors achieve a linearity of up to 0,02% of the measuring length. Posichron Easymount sensors are suitable for many hydraulic cylinder applications. The high robustness with shock resistance up to 50 g predestine the sensors for use in harsh environmental conditions as in mobile machines.
