The charging current should not exceed 0,1 C and the charging voltage should not exceed 2,275 V / cell when switching to trickle charging. Is there a battery in the cyclical use, the so-called three-phase charging process is recommended. In order to charge the batteries as gently as possible, but in an acceptable time, the first phase is at least 0,1 C, but a maximum of 0,25 C. This phase should last a maximum of 16 hours.

During this time, the voltage of the battery rises to 2,45 V to 2,5 V / cell, with the charging current the battery drops at the same time. If the charging current is measured below 0,07 C, phase 2. This lasts half as long as phase 1. The charging current continues to decrease in phase 2, while the charging voltage is kept constant at 2,45-2,5 V / cell .
