Inverse and modular cable bushings

Conta Clip cable entry KDSISR04.08.2021 | The new inverse and modular cable bushing KDSI SR of Conta-Clip for machines, Control Cabinets and housing offers flexibility and saves time in securely sealing cables with or without connectors. With the one-piece screw frame, these can be assembled quickly and completely from the outside to the inside.

The structure and that simple assembly principle from the KDS cable entry program remain almost unchanged. The inverse cable routing has a mirrored geometry of the taper of the frame opening. It also has a two-part cover hood with TPE seals on three levels. The cover ensures that the tapered sealing elements are firmly seated. Protection class IP66 and static strain relief in accordance with DIN EN 62444 are thus guaranteed.

Click, plug, reconfigure

Even with the KDSI-SR cable entry, the modular click and plug principle KDS click individual openings and seals of the cable bushing can be easily reconfigured. The single, double or quadruple sealing elements and the blind plugs allow for variable assembly with a high packing density. The intelligent division of the sealing elements with the characteristic serrated edge guarantees a precise and easy installation of the cable bushing.

Because there is no need to dismantle and reconnect ready-made cables for retrofitting or service work, the Warranty received from the manufacturer. The halogen and silicone-free cable bushing is suitable for use in temperatures from -40° to +120 °C.

Round cable entries overcome frame divisions

Conta Clip cable bushing round

14.07.2021/XNUMX/XNUMX | With the new KDS-R system Conta-Clip is expanding its range of cable bushings with round cable bushings from M20 to M63 for cables with and without connectors. The cable management system consists of four basic components: the cable bushing with integrated seal, the thread and locking adapter, the split counter nut and the sealing elements, which can be placed with inlays if necessary.

Cables with cross-sections from 2 mm to 35 mm can be used with the round cable bushings tools inserted quickly and safely into control cabinets or housings. During assembly, the cables with or without plugs are simply pushed through the housing opening and the cable bushing. Slotted, tapered sealing elements with a wave cut are used to seal the cable passage, which are pushed over the cable and then pressed into the cable passage.

In the case of cut-outs from M40, the desired division of the openings in the cable routing can be achieved by clicking in inlays take place. These are available as simple partitions, T-pieces and in a cross shape. The divisible thread and locking adapter is fixed after screwing with the cable bushing as a fully assembled cable bushing using a divisible counter nut on the housing opening.

Special shape of the seals

Conta Clip cable bushing, round, smallThanks to the special shape of the sealing elements, the degree of protection IP66 and guaranteed tension relief based on DIN EN 62444. The modular system with sealing elements for different diameters, geometries and multiple bores offers the user a high level of variability for his cabling.

Due to the toolsen assembly minimizes the effort for retrofitting and cable replacement in the event of service. Cable bushings sealed with dummy plugs allow flexible cable management for retrofitting additional cables. The large modular system of sealing elements makes it possible to implement variable cabling.

Cable entries in metric 50 mm variants

Conta clip cable entry21.10.2020/50/XNUMX | The KES-E program from Conta-Clip, which can be installed without screws, is growing with the metric XNUMX mm version of the KES-ER series. The cable entry plates allow cables to be inserted quickly and safely into control cabinets or machine housings.

The system is simply pressed into the provided passage openings without tools. The inner, elastic sealing lip of the profile seal curves behind the inside of the housing. It ensures a secure and vibration-proof hold.

A and B variants

To insert the cables, the surface membrane is pierced at the marked centering point and the cables are simply pushed through. There are seven each A and B variants for cables and Pneumaticshoses with diameters from 1 to 22,5 mm available.

The A variants are suitable for wall thicknesses of 1,5 to 2,5 mm. The B variants cover wall thicknesses from 2,5 to 4 mm. Depending on the version, up to 35 unassembled cables or hoses can be inserted. This results in an extraordinarily high packing density. The halogen and silicone-free IP54 TPE cable outlet is protected against dust and splash water. The material withstands temperatures from -40° to +90°C.

Easier cable assembly with presses instead of screws

10.01.2020/XNUMX/XNUMX | Conta-Clip has expanded its KES range for quick and easy cable entry with the KES-E variant, which can be installed without screws. The plates for the cable outlet enable the electrician and electronics engineer to insert non-assembled electrical cables or hoses into the control cabinet and machine housing quickly and safely. Elaborate cable glands are a thing of the past. The cable assembly KES-E takes place without tools using the circumferential profile seal.

Conta clip cable entry KESEThe cable entries are simply pressed into the required, 36 x 112 mm standard openings in the cabinet or housing wall. The inner, elastic sealing lip of the profile seal behind the inside of the case. So it ensures a secure and vibration-proof hold.

Wall thicknesses 1,5 to 2,5 mm

The Lead-in plates for cable assemblies are suitable for wall thicknesses of 1,5 to 2,5 mm. Initially, there are nine KES-E variants for cable laying for pneumatic hoses and cables with diameters from 1 to 16 mm. They allow the installation of up to 48 electrical cables or hoses per plate. This enables them to achieve a very high packing density.

The Degree of protection IP64 protects the cable entry against dust and splash water. Smooth surfaces, rounded corners and the Ecolab-certified material resistance to industrial cleaning agents offer hygienic properties. Nothing stands in the way of use in the food or pharmaceutical industry and at temperatures of -40° to +90 °C.

Universal cable entry for maximum packing density

Conta clip cable entry11.01.2018/XNUMX/XNUMX | The plates for the cable entry from the KES program from Conta-Clip allow the quick and safe introduction of non-assembled cables and hoses into machine housings and control cabinets - without complex cable glands in protection class IP66.

For this purpose, the robust ones are injected with elastomer polyamide frame placed on the outside of the cabinet or housing wall on passage openings of 36 x 112 mm and fixed with screws. Alternatively, the entry plates with an installation height of only 14 mm can also be snapped on without tools, with the screw holes through the Plastic layer remain completely sealed.

Concept for 32 lines per plate

To insert the cable, the outer membrane of the cable entry plate can be pierced with a pointed tool at the marked insertion points. After that, the cables can simply be pushed through. Furthermore Membrane puncture the conically shaped insertion grommets on the back of the plate ensure an additional, double seal of the cable passage and reliable strain relief for the cables. The innovative concept enables the routing of up to 32 cables per panel. It thus achieves a significantly higher packing density than a conventional one cable gland.

The cable entry plates are initially available in 24 Varianten for different cable numbers and diameters. The elastic plastic insertion channels allow cables or pneumatic hoses with diameters from 3,2 to 20 mm to be fed through.

Flexible IP66 cable management using the plug-and-click principle

28.02.2018/XNUMX/XNUMX | In addition to the modular "KDS Click" cable bushing, Conta-Clip offers two other solutions for cable management, which allow switch cabinets and machine housings to be rewired and rewired as required at any time without the use of tools: The cable entry system KES for quick insertion of unassembled conductors and the gland plate KDS FP, in which the new plug-and-click principle of KDS Click was transferred to a large format for switch cabinet manufacturers and machine builders.

Cables and lines for control, fieldbus, data & Co.

Manufacturers of special machines in particular must switch cabinet Packing frequently changing specifications for the wiring and pneumatics / Hydraulic System Consider tubing. In the past, the customer-specific adaptation of the number and diameter of the cabinet wall or housing openings required differently dimensioned holes and openings as well as the use of suitable cable glands and seals.

In addition, dirt and sharp-edged chips can damage the built-in components due to the material processing of housings that are already equipped. Last but not least, the need to stock differently assembled cabinets of the same design increases the warehousing effort. As with KDS Click, all of these disadvantages can be avoided to some extent with the new, large-format flange plate KDS-FP.

Cables click and slip through just one opening

Instead of different housing openings, KDS solutions require only one opening with standard dimensions, rectangular for KDS-Click and KDS-FP, metric for KDS-KV. The one-piece KDS Click or KDS-FP plastic frame is screwed onto the outside, or the two-piece KDS-KV is screwed in.

The foamed one poetry guarantees sealing with IP 66 on painted and rough surfaces. The required dimensions of the frame openings are achieved by simply clicking in inlays, which are available as partitions, T-pieces or in the shape of a cross or a double cross.

After the assembled or non-assembled conductor ends have been pushed through the frame openings, they are sheathed with the appropriate, laterally slotted sealing elements and these are pressed firmly into the frame openings from the inside of the control cabinet. through their conical rejuvenation the sealing elements can be pressed firmly into the frame openings/inlays without great force.

They reliably seal gaps to the cable according to IP66 and provide strain relief on the outer side of the housing. Since the sealing elements can be pushed out again just as easily, individual new or additional wiring can be carried out at any time without having to dismantle the frame.

Fast assembly, maximum packing density, safe shielding

In contrast to the smaller KDS click system, with which a maximum of 10 openings can be made in the cable bushing per frame, the flange plate versions KDS-FP-2x10/24 and KDS-FP-3x10/24 can each have up to 20 or 30 custom-fit frame openings will be realized. The flange plates are first screwed from the outside onto uniform housing openings of 116 x 91 or 116 x 142 mm, which are then completely sealed to IP66.

Stainless steel pillow block bearings for food and pharmaceutical use

Depending on the version, there are two or three cover segments with predetermined breaking points on the continuously closed panels, which, when pushed out, each reveal a 40 x 110 mm passage opening. This is done using the clickable KDS click frame inlays divided into up to ten frame openings dimensioned according to requirements. The sealing elements from the large KDS Click range, which currently includes more than 100 variants for conductor and hose diameters from 2 to 35 mm, 1, 2 and 4-way sealing elements and blind plugs, are used to seal the frame openings.

The KES cable entry system is used for tool-free introduction of unassembled lines or pneumatic hoses. The KES entry plate with its dimensionally stable, elastomer-coated polyamide frame is screwed onto the 36 x 112 mm openings from the outside and seals them completely.

Alternatively, the entry plates, which are only 14 mm high, can also be snapped on without tools. In order to carry out the desired number and diameter of lines, the surface membrane is simply punctured at the appropriately marked entry points. Depending on the design, the plates allow up to 32 cables to be routed through in the smallest of spaces.

8 different hole patterns

KES plates are currently included eight different hole patterns available for different numbers of cables and diameters, the elastic entry channels accommodate cable diameters from 3,2 to 20,5 mm. In addition to the membrane puncture, conically shaped insertion grommets on the back of the panel ensure strain relief and a double seal with IP 66.

In the event of changes to the specifications for cabling/tubing, entry channels that have already been pierced can be completely closed again with the sealing plugs while maintaining the high degree of tightness. Since the smooth surfaces and rounded corners only allow deposits to stick to a small amount and allow quick and thorough cleaning, KES is also suitable for use in the food technology or pharmaceutical industry. The Ecolab-certified resistance to industrial cleaning agents corresponds to the properties required for hygienic applications.

For safe shield contacting The SAB/SABK range provides shield connection clamps and brackets for every diameter. Galvanized EMC rails, which can be plugged onto the mounting screws of the cable bushing, complete the range of accessories.
