koco Motion presents the new "Lexium modules" (LMM) from Schneider Electric Motion USA (SEM). The modules with integrated CAN open connectivity based on the "Lexium MDrive "(LMD) Family, Equipped with a 1,5 A driver can be the engines in a compact housing easily into any custom control concept integrated.
The LMM with CAN open interface contains the communication profile CiA DS301 and the device profile DSP402 (CAN open standard) for electric drives. The LMD drive is ideal for the development of prototypes. Subsequently, the software developed for this purpose can be transferred directly to the LMM as part of a customer-specific control solution.
The drive specialist offers two development boards for one axis each for individual design: The board, which is suitable for fast application development, has isolated inputs / outputs, CAN transceivers and latching connection plugs. A complete development kit includes a Lexium motion module, a Nema 17 flange motor with integrated encoder, a USB to CAN converter, and a power supply.
The drive specialist has now expanded its range of engines to include LMM models. In addition to the already available motors, there are now also motors in the Nema flange dimensions 8 with dimensions 20 x 20 mm and Nema 11 with 28 x 28 mm. The manufacturer likes to make customer-specific adjustments. Special requirements can be implemented, for example, by changing phase currents, customer-specific interface cards or motor configurations such as for PM stepper motors or linear motors.
