With his Codesys 3 control "TBEN-PLC" presents Turck a compact IP67 PLC for control of smaller or modular machines. The control works thanks to the robust housing and high protection directly in the field, allowing cabinet-free machinery and equipment for industrial 4.0.
Close-to-automation concepts and the use of pre-assembled cables reduce cabling and make commissioning easier. Decentralized solutions without control cabinets also save time and money.
The Tben-PLC underlines this flexibility with its many communication interfaces: As master, the device supports not only the Industrial Ethernet protocols Profinet, Ethernet / IP and Modbus TCP but also Modbus RTU, CAN open and SAE J1939. The serial RS232 and RS485 interfaces can also be freely used in Codesys. In addition, the block I / O controller offers eight universal I / O channels for direct connection of sensors and actuators.
In the Ethernet networks Profinet, Ethernet / IP and Modbus TCP, as well as in Modbus RTU and CAN open networks, Tben-PLC can also act as a slave (or device), which enables its use as a protocol converter. The controller can, for example, act as CAN open manager of a machine module networked with CAN open and link this to a system that is networked with Profinet. In the course of the increasing digitization of the industry, existing machine concepts can be made fit for the challenges of a closely networked, highly flexible production.
In combination with a Safety block I / O module and the other I / O technology in IP67, complete machines including safety technology can be realized without switch cabinets.
