The EPOS2 24 P / 5 of Maxon Motor is a freely programmable positioning. The programming of applications with the IEC-61131 3 standard. It is tuned for use with brushless DC motors with encoder or brushless EC motors with Hall sensors and encoder up 120 watts. Equipped with all the features a EPOS2 positioning this new master version also has a built-in processor and memory.
This enables standalone operation and autonomous control of up to 127 other devices via the CANopen bus. The programmable EPOS2 P 24 / 5 can autonomously control entire single-axis and multi-axis systems via the CAN bus using self-generated sequence programs. It is also possible to communicate with a superordinate process control level (supervisory control) for monitoring, control and data acquisition via CANopen, USB or RS232.
For programming according to IEC 61131-3, the editors (ST, IL, FBD, LD, SFC) of the powerful "EPOS Studio" tool are available. The integrated project browser displays all resources of the network. Complex programs with many decentralized controllers can thus be managed optimally. The configuration and networking of the drive systems takes place in the shortest possible time using intelligent step-by-step wizards. During commissioning, the advanced "Regulation Tuning" allows extremely efficient setting of the current, speed or position control. This intelligent solution is easy to use and increases the benefits of positioning control again.
