Steute presents a new wireless sensor that has been developed specifically for a defined application in intralogistics: the RF RW-NET detects whether a small parts container on the roller conveyor z. B. a Kanban shelf and is about the access points of the wireless network "Swave.net" a corresponding signal to the higher-level control z. B. an e-Kanban system.
The actuator is a large rocker used. An integrated position sensor detects the position of the rocker without contact. The tilt angle and switching hysteresis at which a signal is triggered can be set via the Swave.net software.
The position sensor can be fitted and fixed to roller conveyors or shelves of leading manufacturers with a few simple steps using a carefully designed locking element. The clamping clip developed for this purpose creates the conditions for universal use.
In practice, the radio position sensors, which are available for different frequencies (868, 915 and 922 MHz) are mainly used for level detection of roller conveyors in racking systems: When the last container is removed, the sensor sends a signal to the radio receiver and requests Replenishment. Alternatively, stepped signals ("traffic light") can be output. Several radio sensors in a row of shelves then also report the removal of the third or penultimate container.
