A new line of his BVS Vision Sensor Balluff introduces. Besides the proven sensors BVS-C series with a separate configurator and the BVS-E series, which can be made using the Vision software ConVis configure via PC, is the BVS-E Identification now a third product line especially fast for and simple recognition of barcodes and data matrix codes available. It allows the user for a test also read multiple codes.
The vision sensor is just as easy and quick to use as a normal light sensor or a light barrier, and thanks to its compact dimensions, it can be easily integrated into applications. Tedious training or the learning of a special programming language as smart cameras is eliminated. It is easy to switch over between different inspections by means of a PLC, exemplary function blocks for various controls are available from Balluff.
With its image recorder, it reads all common bar codes and data matrix codes regardless of location. In addition, printed character and number sequences such as batch numbers or a best-before date can be verified using optical character verification (OCV). The result of the test is then signaled as an OK / error signal at the output. In addition, the read code data can also be output via the RS 232 or Ethernet interface, for example if it must be possible to understand which parts have been processed.
The Vision Sensor BVS-E Identification is available in two different lens versions with two freely programmable PNP or NPN outputs. The integrated, bright red LED lighting ensures optimal illumination of the detection field with reflected light. The power supply and peripherals are connected via two industry-proven M 12 connectors. For parameterization, the user must connect the sensor to a PC and commission it with the freely available configuration software BVS ConVis.
