Following the newly developed incremental encoder Ex FG 40 for potentially explosive areas (gas / dust), the manufacturer has now also equipped the complete FG-40 series with a sin / cos interface.
As a further development for potentially explosive areas, the Ex FG 40 with Atex / Iecex certification is equipped with HTL, TTL or Sin / Cos outputs. This sine-cosine interface is now available for the complete JGG encoder series FG 40 including Ex FG 40.
Designed for control tasks in drive technology, the products offer high vibration and shock resistance thanks to their robust aluminum housing. They are therefore particularly suitable for modernization and new construction projects with high requirements, whereby the Ex FG 40 is especially recommended for use in potentially explosive areas with very harsh environmental conditions such as drilling rigs or petrochemicals. The large control accuracy results from a high signal quality and a high interpolability. In conjunction with safe evaluation units, various safety functions up to SIL 2 / PL d can be implemented.
Very good duty cycle values (1: 1 ± 3%) and phase offset (90 ° ± 3%) provide precision optical scanning. Also available is a dual signal output with two equal (redundant) sine signal blocks or in combination with HTL or TTL output signals. Such a second output signal z. B. be required for a higher-level control or increased security requirements as a redundant signal. It makes the use of a second encoder or additional impulse splitter superfluous.
