For accurate rotor position detection, the optical sampling provides an absolute position by default with 13 bit singleturn resolution. In addition, Sincos signals with 2048 periods per revolution are available. For purely digital speed detection, position resolutions up to 21 bit and fast transmission with clock rates up to 10 MHz are optionally possible. In addition to a high transmission reliability through CRC checksum, the open high-speed protocol Biss C offers bidirectional communication for acquisition and preset of the absolute position as well as various diagnostic options.
