The new series of Absolute encoders HMG 10 and PMG 10 combines the proven two-sided bearing with a new precision scan and the patented Energy Harvesting solution that has been in use for over 10 years.
Under the harsh, sometimes very aggressive environmental and production conditions of the above-mentioned machines and systems, Heav Duty encoders have been proving their reliability and unmatched service life for decades. The new HMG 10 and PMG 10 now continue to offer enhanced performance data.
The combination of extremely durable housing, two-sided fixed-lot storage with maximum bearing distance and generously dimensioned hybrid ball bearings is the foundation for the unrivaled long life and reliability of the absolute heavy duty rotary encoders. The robust, precision magnetic scanning has a signal quality comparable to that of optical scans. It is virtually completely insensitive to dust, dirt and moisture. Even at high temperatures up to + 100 ° C and adverse environmental conditions, the shock- and vibration-resistant scanning guarantees precise signals for high process accuracy and control quality in the application.
At the heart of the new series is the energy harvesting solution "Micro Gen", which has been well-proven in hard heavy duty applications for over 10 years. The patented revolution counter of the latest generation recovers its energy directly from the movement of the encoder shaft. It is free of battery and gear, works completely wear-free and is insensitive to dust and magnetic fields. The best long-term corrosion protection completes the highly robust properties of the Heavy Duty encoders.
On request at a measuring point, in addition to the absolute multiturn position, the devices also offer up to two galvanically isolated incremental outputs with zero pulse and an integrated speed switch with galvanically isolated switching states. This means that a single encoder provides signals for the controller, inverter and other controls directly and as needed. Through the consistent optimization of all components, the new series represents the absolute reference for encoders in the heavy duty sector. With even greater robustness, high efficiency and a signal quality that could previously only be achieved with optical scans.
