PIL offers its hygienic Ultrasonic sensors of the P53 series now also with a mounting bracket according to the EHEDG guidelines. The holder, which consists of two half-shells which can be screwed together, each with one passage for one of the sensor ends, fixes the sensor firmly and securely in wall bores or housing passages.
When the halves are screwed together, the through-type seals made of food-grade FDA approved silicone 70 / 101 are pressed firmly onto the conically shaped sensor ends. So they seal the gap between the sensor and the holder in an absolutely reliable and hygienic way.
With its P53 Steel Head models and EHEDG-compliant mounting bracket, the rugged ultrasonic sensors are unrestricted for use in hygienic applications: P53 features a fully encapsulated 30 mm diameter housing with gap-free transitions. Like the mounting bracket made of polished V4A stainless steel, it has a surface roughness of <0,6 μm and guarantees maximum hygiene. The range of the narrow beam sensors is 150 to 1500 mm. A variety of applications can be found in the food, beverage, chemical and pharmaceutical industries.
Due to the high degree of protection IP68 / IP69K and an extended temperature range from -15 ° to + 80 ° C, the Steel Head sensors can be easily cleaned with high pressure or steam jet cleaners. Their resistance to aggressive chemical cleaning agents is certified by Ecolab.
