Rutronik presents under Rutronik Smart a wide range of MEMS, magnetic and optical sensors from leading manufacturers such as Bosch Sensortec, ST Microelectronics, Panasonic, Micronas, Infineon, Vishay and Omron. They enable a variety of smart applications within the Internet of Things. Sensors for environmental sensing as well as HMI solutions are in the focus.
The first integrated sensor unit for the fast and accurate measurement of pressure, humidity and temperature is housed in a single housing: The Bosch Sensortec BME280 was specially developed for high-performance applications such as indoor navigation, smart home, sports and fitness applications. With dimensions of just 2,5 x 2,5 x 0,93 mm and low power consumption, it provides a high degree of design flexibility even for portable applications.
The Bosch Sensortec BNO055 combines a variety of sensors plus sensor fusion in one package as a system-in-package (SiP) for easier system integration, reduced development time, and shorter time-to-market. In the 5,2 x 3,8 x 1,1 mm small package, it combines a three-degree-of-freedom 12-bit accelerometer, a three-axis rate of rotation sensor and a three-axis geomagnetic sensor, and an 32-bit microcontroller running the Fusion Lib software BSX3.0. This makes it ideal for augmented reality applications, demanding computer games, health and fitness applications, indoor navigation, and any application that requires context capture.
For temperature measurement, there is now the first SMD Thermopile array sensor Grid-EYE from Panasonic. With 64 Thermopile elements, it enables extremely precise, contactless measurement of temperature distributions. The solution for motion detection is the intelligent and very compact 24GHz radar sensor module NJR4265 J1 from NJRC. With the help of the embedded software, it records the movement and direction of movement of, for example, pedestrians on short-haul routes.
