Baumer expands its product portfolio for the rail industry: With the Sensors of the IFRR and IWRR family For the first time, the company offers switching and measuring inductive sensors that comply with the high vibration and shock requirements of the EN 61373 3 railway standard. The inductive sensors are particularly suitable for presence control and end position monitoring of cylinders, running boards, ramps or couplings.
From the users' point of view, the advantages of the IFRR and IWRR sensors are above all their high resistance even in very adverse environments, a long service life and the flexible installation options offered by numerous sensor variants.
The properties that are important for railway use are completed by the wide temperature range from -40 ° to 80 ° C. The robust stainless steel housing has protection class IP68 or IP69K and thanks to the specially developed leak-tightness concept "Protect +" offers maximum reliability even under demanding conditions. The IFRR and IWRR inductive sensors are available in M8, M12, M18 and with switching distances of 3-12 mm as well as plug or cable versions.
