Johannes Hübner has the series 40 and 60 his Absolute encoders and further intensified the coordination of many components to applications under extreme operating and environmental conditions such as steelworks and rolling mills, in mining and in crane and port facilities. Compared to the previous versions, the new series have, for example, even larger ball bearings with a higher dynamic load rating, so that the absolute rotary encoders are less affected by wear and damage under continuous load.
In addition to the usual interfaces such as Profibus, Profinet, Devicenet, Ethercat and SSI, the interface selection has been extended by the possibility of a parallel output. This type of transmission is very fast, because the data are transmitted simultaneously via parallel lines and not sent in a data packet as in the bus technology in a row. In addition, the 41 series also offers absolute encoders with SIL3 / PLe safety certification according to IEC 61508 / EN 13849. Currently the interfaces Profibus and Profinet are available, further interfaces are in preparation.
The thick-walled aluminum housing and encapsulated interior ensure high load capacity even in harsh environmental and environmental conditions. The 40 series is available in two designs: with solid shaft (11 or 14 mm diameter) for encoder mounting using a coupling and hollow shaft (20 mm diameter) for direct encoder mounting on the drive shaft. The singleturn resolution is max. 16 bit (step number: 65.536) and the multiturn resolution 12 bit (number of revolutions: 4.096). The encoder version can be optionally designed to withstand temperatures down to -40 ° C and shock loads up to 450 g.
The models of the new 60 series are hollow shaft devices with a bore diameter up to max. 50 mm with keyway. The absolute encoders are especially suitable for the installation of further devices.
