For very demanding applications has Baumer the new Ultrasonic Sensor Series 70 developed. With a measuring range of 6 m, a particularly narrow sound beam and integrated temperature compensation, these sensors deliver precise and reliable results even under the most difficult environmental conditions. The 70 series includes four new sensor models: the two distance measuring sensors UNAM 70, each with current and voltage output. The second pair are the proximity switches UZAM 70, each with two freely configurable PNP or NPN outputs.
This quartet offers users many benefits, such as level control of liquids and bulk goods outdoors or silos. They are color-independent and reliably recognize reflective or highly transparent surfaces. In addition, they are insensitive to dust, dirt and moisture and provide constant resolution and repeatability over the entire detection range. Thanks to the integrated temperature compensation, this highest precision is also guaranteed during measurement in the event of temperature fluctuations.
Another feature is the particularly narrow sound lobe of the sensors. This focusing of the sound energy ensures particularly high signal security even under difficult environmental conditions such as wind influences. thanks Nickel-plated brass housings and protection class IP67 defy the ultrasonic sensors also other external influences. The detection range with up to 6 m can be taught-in externally via teach-button or via a cable and adapted to the application.
