With the extension of his inductive sensor portfolio im Area Atex reacts Baumer to the increasing demands for occupational safety. Whether analog, three-wire or Namur - for all three interfaces, the new products are insensitive to dust and other contaminants. Thus, they are very suitable for plants, for example in food and wood processing industries, the Paper and plastic manufacturing as well as pharmacy.
The measuring analog sensor IWRM 12I9704 / S14X is according to the latest Atex standards designed for the most modern EX concepts. The compact design simplifies the installation and predestines the sensor for installations in a confined space. It is the world's only inductive Distance sensor in housing M12 for Atex 2D. The sensor with 4 mm measuring distance delivers reliable and repeatable measurements with a resolution of up to 1 μm.
In the three-wire version IFRM 12 there is a complete portfolio for Atex 3D and the cylindrical M12 housing is available in two lengths. In addition, there are PNP / NPN as well as normally closed / normally closed variants. In total there are eight sensors with 4 mm switching distance available. The type of protection does not require additional electronics. Also with the variants with Namur exit the existing offer was extended. Here, special emphasis was placed on additional connection options.
